Information Services and Cultural Events

  • to meet regularly, and to ensure that agenda and minutes of meetings are given to the Rector and posted on the noticeboard in good time, for the information of the Community;
  • to co-ordinate regular social and cultural outings for the purpose of personal development and entertainment; including attendance at concerts, the theatre, art exhibitions, cinema, etc;
  • to attend to care of the College library and tutorial room, ensuring area is clean and tidy, bins emptied, boards clean, tables dusted, etc;
  • to maintain Library systems; keeping the Community advised of new acquisitions, up-dating data base/catalogue, recording lending and return of books, etc;
  • to maintain a register of magazines and journals, ensuring that issues are received regularly and available to the Community on a timely basis, and that current issues are displayed and back-issues archived or discarded;
  • to ensure historical records are kept and properly archived;
  • to ensure that Seminary equipment for student use, including photocopier and computers, is kept in good working order; this includes ensuring that the internet is operating, that virus protection programs are running, that adequate stocks of paper and toner supplies are available;
  • to liaise with the College Office concerning need for service of equipment, restocking, etc.
  • to maintain College website;
  • to train sufficient seminarians in the use of the College digital camera, ensuring that good coverage of Seminary events occurs;
  • in conjunction with the Service ministry group, to ensure all students have reasonable access to a computer.
