Sports and Recreation

  • to meet regularly, and to ensure that agenda and minutes of meetings are given to the Rector and posted on the noticeboard in good time, for the information of the Community;
  • to monitor and maintain the noticeboards in Cluny Building, in particular reviewing notices to ensure they are current and regularly removing expired notices;
  • to organise regular and occasional sporting and recreational activities, both on- and off-campus;
  • to co-ordinate the involvement of seminarians in off-campus social competitions, e.g. soccer, cricket, squash, etc;
  • to invite and assess suggestions from the Community concerning possible suitable activities;
  • to co-ordinate the involvement of the Community in the annual, national Inter-seminary Sports Competition (soccer), both as active players and supporters ― this will involve team training, travel arrangements, accommodation, etc whenever the competition is held interstate, and team training, catering, accommodation, entertainment, sponsorship and fixture arrangements, etc whenever the competition is hosted by the College;
  • to maintain care of all sporting equipment, as well as the College gymnasium and recreation room.
