Bishops of Victoria and Tasmania visit the seminary

By Jackson Saunders

On Thursday, November 8, the Bishops of Victoria and Tasmania, who serve as the Trustees for the College, visited the seminary for their bi-annual meeting, Mass and luncheon with students. The occasion also provided an opportunity to thank outgoing Dean of Studies, Fr Brian Boyle, who finishes his term at the seminary this year. Fr Brian has been a member of the staff since 2015.

Mass was celebrated by Archbishop of Melbourne, Peter Comensoli, at the seminary church of the Sacred Heart. The homilist was the Bishop of Ballarat, Paul Bird.

After the Mass, a special luncheon was shared thanks to chef, Jeff Blew. A number of guests were also present at the lunch, including seminarian’s lecturers, tutors and music teachers.
