Corpus Christi College celebrated its annual family day on Sunday, March 18.
About 200 people attended the day to support the seminary community, which comprises 50 students.
The day included Sunday Mass at 11.30am at Sacred Heart Church, Carlton, with Rector, Fr Denis Stanley, the principal celebrant.
After Mass, all gathered in the seminary dining room, outside under the trees or in the hall, to enjoy each others company and good food. Family and friends of the seminarians brought food to share for lunch with each other. It was like one big picnic!
Those present at the day also included retired priests from Justin Villa Aged Care, the home for retired priests of the Melbourne Archdiocese. Among those who visited the seminary were past Rector, Fr Kevin Mogg, and Dean Emeritus of St Patrick's Cathedral, Fr Gerard Dowling.
The Missionary Sisters of Charity from Fitzroy also attended the day.
The seminary extends its thanks to all families of students, and friends of the seminary, who came to support this wonderful event.
