The Knights of the Southern Cross
Priest Support and Education Fund

The Knights of the Southern Cross Priests Support and Education Fund visit Corpus Christi College for the Annual Thanksgiving Mass and Luncheon. The fund, which is an initiative of the Knights of the Southern Cross, organises the annual Archbishop’s Dinner, which raises funds to support the further education of seminarians and priests in Victoria and the Military Ordinariate.

This year’s Archbishop’s dinner will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021.

Pre-dinner drinks will be from 7pm, with the formal dinner to begin at 7.30pm.

The guest speaker for the dinner is the Archbishop of Melbourne, Peter Comensoli.

The Master of Ceremonies will be race-caller, Bryan Martin.

While the dinner was unable to take place in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Knights of the Southern Cross were still able to raise and donate $60,000 for the support of Victoria’s seminarians.

Corpus Christi College once again renews its gratitude for the kind support of all from the Knights of the Southern Cross and benefactors of the Priests Support and Education Fund.

A WORD FROM ANDREW VACCARO ON BEHALF OF THE KSC

Due to the constantly changing restrictions at present in Victoria by the State Government, which limits the ability of the KSC Priests Support and Education Fund Archbishop’s Dinner Organising Committee to host the Archbishop’s Dinner with a full capacity audience, the PSEF Committee, with the approval of the KSCV State Council and Archbishop of Melbourne Peter A Comensoli, has decided to reschedule the Dinner from Friday August 20 to the new date of Friday November 5, commencing at 7:00PM at Moonee Valley Racecourse. We are blessed that our guest speaker, the Archbishop himself, our MC Bryan Martin, and our auctioneer Bro Bryan Cain are all available for the night.

For those that have already purchased tickets and are still able to attend the rescheduled date, you need do nothing, as they will be valid on November 5. If you have purchased tickets for August 20 and are unable to attend on November 5 for whatever reason, you can request a full refund. And if for whatever reason the November 5 date is unable to go ahead, and if it is forced on us to cancel the Archbishop’s Dinner, once again a full refund of tickets can be requested.

We thank you for your patience in supporting the Archbishop’s Dinner. It has been an immense challenge to organise this Dinner under the ongoing threat of sudden COVID restrictions. I also apologise for the delayed notice of the rescheduling, as it has caused us to reorganise other Order events, and as such has taken up much of my time.

We hope, God willing, to see you at Moonee Valley Racecourse on Friday November 5. God Bless.
