On November 3, the Episcopal Trustees of Corpus Christi College gathered together to have their bi-annual meeting and to celebrate Mass and share a meal after with their seminarians, the benefactors and friends of Corpus Christi. The event was particularly marked by the farewell to the outgoing rector of many years, Very Rev. Fr Brendan Lane who will be finishing his term of service at the end of this year and handing the reins of the seminary to Very Rev. Fr Denis Stanley EV. The Archbishop of Melbourne, the Most Rev. Denis Hart, presented Fr Brendan Lane with the Corpus Christi Medal on behalf of the Episcopal Trustees of the College in appreciation for the many years of service and hard work he has done for the seminary community. The Archbishop of Melbourne also blessed and opened the new extension to the seminary building and at the lunch with the rector expressed his heartfelt thanks to the architects and builders who had worked on the project. Typical of Corpus Christi, the event overall was filled with much joy.
