Fr Hau Le was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Port Pirie on Saturday, May 26, at St Mark's Cathedral in Port Pirie.
Bishop of Port Pirie, Greg O'Kelly SJ, ordained Fr Hau in front of a full congregation.
Fr Hau began his studies for the priesthood at Vianney College in Wagga Wagga, before completing his seminary formation at Corpus Christi College in Carlton.
Two of his three Rectors from his seminary formation were in attendance at the ordination.
Corpus Christi College Rector, Fr Denis Stanley, presented Fr Hau during the ordination Mass to Bishop O'Kelly for ordination to the priesthood.
Priests from across the Diocese of Port Pirie were in attendance at the ceremony, along with visiting clergy from the Adelaide Archdiocese and interstate.
Religious, members of other religious congregations, dignitaries, seminarians, family, friends and local parishioners were also present at the service.
The Vietnamese community from the Adelaide Archdiocese also made the pilgrimage to Port Pirie to join with Fr Hau in the celebrations.
